Dr Katrina ForsterKatrina Forster has had considerable occupational health experience. Her experience began when working in The Western Region Health Centre in the western suburbs of Melbourne, originally a Union owned health centre (now managed by the Victorian Government) which specialized in a multidisciplinary approach to injury management. She initiated Executive Health Medicals at the Collins Street Medical Centre which is now responsible for the executive medicals for South East Asia for Kraft Foods. After a period practicing remote medicine on Bathurst Island Katrina became the Nominated Medical Officer for Newlands Mine then managed by MIM. She remained in this position for 2 years before moving to Townsville where she set up Kirwan Family Practice and then TropOcc health. With an interest in preventative health as well as further training in mental health Katrina brings together a range of skills beneficial in occupational health. Working with her husband Nigel Forster (a human resources consultant) she has designed an occupational health service that is responsive to the needs of industry. :: Back to top |
